It’s May and spring has finally sprung? Although it feels at times that the cold weather doesn’t want to let go, there are signs of change. In the current environment of stay at home orders, social distancing and the use of face masks there is still work to be done, while observing the proper safety measures. Thank you to all you do and please stay safe.

Below are some updates

PPL
Many employees are still working from home. I haven’t heard of any issues other than difficulties with computer access at times.
Facilities Management in the regions have employees reporting to separate service centers, in an effort to promote social distancing.
Logistics has revised the start and stop times for scheduled shifts to stop the overlap of workers.

Ephrata
Shifts have been established to create smaller work groups and promote social distancing.
A Journeyman Lineman was electrocuted on the job. He suffered from 2nd and 3rd degree burns on approximately 20% of his body. He has been in the hospital since mid-April for multiple surgeries and care. He hopeful to be coming home today (4/30/20) for a few days before returning for skin graphs and additional surgeries. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Comcast
Comcast has extended the enhanced Paid Time Off and enhanced pay until 5/2/20 and will be reviewed at that time.
