The Comcast draft contract has been reviewed and will be submitted for printing after the signature page is completed by both sides.

PPL

DSTT/DST– The agreement creating the Distribution Service Technician Trainee/Distribution Service Technician (DSTT/DST) is signed. Please see your local Chief Steward, if you wish to see the agreement.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the Local Union office.

Facilities Management– An agreement was signed to supply FR clothing to the Systemwide HVAC Technician and the Systemwide Electrician.  Please see your local Chief Steward, if you wish to see the agreement.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the Local Union office.

Logistics– A discussion was held with the Company regarding the Tractor Trailer runs.  The Company is in the process of returning some of the tractor trailer runs, currently handled by a contractor, to Logistics.  In addition, a meeting was held regarding the Helper Material and Material Handler job classifications.  Additional discussions will be held regarding these 2 job classifications.

Storm Support Rosters– We’ve been made aware of the Company changing the process for the use of the BU storm support rosters.  A discussion was held with the Company regarding these rosters.  In attendance was Rusty Clausius, Mike Mannix and me.  Some of the discussion revolved around the Company changing the need to call for steno support in the storm room.  The Company has made the decision that steno support is optional.  Please be advised that the Union position is that if clerical work is being performed in the storm room, the clerical roster should be called.  If the storm room in your region is activated and clerical roster is not called this is a grievable issue.  Please see your local steward or chief steward to pursue this issue.

CCC– The initial meeting was held regarding the CCC progression lines.  There were many suggestions made with regards to work practices, procedures and contractor use. It was an open discussion and future meetings are in the process of being scheduled.

18LEH-015– Contractor performing BU work – the arbitration is scheduled for this grievance on 11/22/19.
