Happy Labor Day
Sisters and Brothers,
As we observe Labor Day, we reflect on the true significance of this day. Essential standards such as the eight-hour workday, equitable wages, workplace safety, and the weekend were not merely granted to us; they were obtained through the enduring solidarity of Union Members.
Today, we honor the working men and women whose dedication builds, powers, and maintains our communities. We are extremely proud of our membership!

Safe Harbor Contract Negotiations

Local Union 1600 IBEW Nominations
The nominations for officers of Local Union 1600 will be held at the regular Unit Meetings in September 2026.
Anyone desiring to be nominated must be present during the nominations or provide a written and signed statement that he or she will accept the nomination. No Member may be a candidate for more than one office. Anyone nominated to more than one office must choose the office for which she or he will be a candidate.
To be nominated, a Member must have a minimum of two years of continuous good standing in Local Union 1600. Good standing means that, during the two years preceding nominations, the Member was never three months or more behind in paying dues.
