Happy Holidays Fellow Brothers and Sisters,

As we are in the holiday season, I just want to give a simple reminder to Not get distracted with all the ongoing activities. Keep a safety focus in mind with all your decorating and events that you are planning. Also keep alert while traveling as the traffic is now getting busier.

Things have been staying busy at the hall. We have been working hard to remedy some issues at the lower levels of our grievance process, instead of getting to Arbitrations. We recently had some meetings with Talens management teams. Things are looking good on their side of the energy world. Some topics we discussed were staffing and ongoing training concerns. Also, some talks about prepping for the upcoming contract. If there are any topics or concerns about the next negotiations, please get them to your Chief stewards so they can send them in to us here at the hall.

With the cold weather upon us and the spike in energy demands the plants have been called to run more. We all have heard how the energy market is getting and we shall be prepared to see our units running more steady. With these demands it will mean more time working so watch out for yourself and each other.

Montour update- Want to give a big shout out for a year with no lost time incidents!!!! Good Job All!! All but one displacement is completed. I do thank the employees for their patience until we got everyone landed. Theres one Arbitration scheduled for a promotion issue pending. Units have been available or running.

Brunner update- Most recent Arbitration that was scheduled for a shift issue has been settled. Thanks to everyone who worked to find a remedy. Currently they are burning coal in some units there.

Brookfield- Most units running or available. Currently no open issues.

I want to close by Thanking all you for doing the good work you do to keep our union the right choice for keeping these plants running to provide reliable power. Also to our PPl folks for getting that electric to those that need it! Also, to our Ephrata Boro members for keeping their community up and running. Please all have a Great holiday season and a happy New Year!!

Happy Holidays!!
Gene
