Hello Sisters and Brothers of IBEW Local 1600!

Ephrata Borough contract negotiations have begun. Our team includes myself, VP Rusty Clausius, Jane Biever, Wendy Stover, Ron Fausnacht, Adam Schuman and Jai Howard. The parties agreed to utilize the 555 method, 5 proposals each, 5 sessions and 5-year term. So far, we are working well together and making progress. Once we have a Summary of Agreement tentatively agreed to by both parties, we will share information.

In Talen the meal arbitration was held September 22nd but was not complete, day two is November 5th.

Montour continues to prove their commitment to safety with 1208 days since the last OSHA recordable injury. Congratulations to everyone at the station!

We are still pursuing an M.A. from PPL regarding working from home, we support the concept, but we need to negotiate the rules.

The PPL contract negotiation team has been selected and the members are:
Mike Sedora – Facilities – G.O., Steve Daugherty – Field Meter Tech – Harrisburg,
Ellen Maisonet – Service Tech – Lehigh S.C., Tina Dent – Material Handler – Bloomsburg S.C., Nick Krecker – Journeyman Lineman – Lehigh S.C., Donna Kancsal – Sr. Tech Clerk – Cocalico S.C., Josh Peters – Electrical Leader Underground – Harrisburg S.C., Kenneth Andreas – Troubleman – Sunbury S.C.

Local 1600 Staff will be included along with subject matter experts, legal counsel, and our International Rep. as needed.

In closing I want to remind you all it’s that time of year for open enrollment for your benefits.

In Solidarity,
President Frank E.G.
