Hello fellow Brothers and Sisters,
The holidays are now upon us. Hopefully everyone is enjoying their time with family and friends!! Most importantly enjoy responsibly!! 2025 Has turned out to be an interesting year. For me as a Rep it was a year of learning and experiencing some new tasks and situations like contracts new and existing. Also seeing a organizing vote pass then the company turn around and close the doors. Thankfully we got those folks a decent settlement! I am sure that 2026 is going to be just as busy with a lot of things to get done.
We are still working on the Brookfield-Safe Harbor contract. The company has most of the final proposals in hand and we are waiting for some responses and next meetings to be set. We are hopeful to get it wrapped up early in the year. Things at Holtwood have been running smoothly. Some overhaul work has been going on with our crews doing most of the work.
With the Talen contract now behind us its time to start working on some other ongoing issues and areas of concern. One was the heavy use of contractors. We are beginning to have some discussions with the company on trying to bring some of that work back! This will take some work on everyone’s part to make this successful to help prove and show that we are the right choice to get the jobs done, SAFE and EFFICIENTLY!! I ask that everyone engage in getting this up and running. Along with this we are also working to get training opportunities in place. The company is aware it was neglected, and we are now trying to get something established.
