Hello Brothers and Sisters,
Spring is here and the warmer weather is upon us. Time to get back outdoors and enjoy. As your outside and getting to you gardens or other activities , still stay cautious of the task at hand! Whatever it is, keep a conscious mind on proper techniques to get your project done safely!!
Outages are in full swing at most plants as they are getting ready for the summer runs. As the market for power is changing the likelihood of our plants running more is looking very promising. Definitely good news for us all! I would like to commend our members for doing great work on getting these plants prepared to be safe and reliable. As always stay focused, so we all go home the way we came in.
We are in a busy time here at the Hall as well. We currently working on Three contracts, two being new! As for the Talen folks, get those surveys in so we can start getting our ducks in a row for bargaining. We ask that you stay positive and support the team as they do their best to get a fair deal!! As for Brookfield we have had one joint session. So far things are going smoothly. Our Rent-O-kil Talks will be starting soon.
Montour Update- Unit 2 under outage. Unit 1 available to run. One current grievance scheduled for arbitration for an upgrade issue.
Brunner update- Unit 1 in outage. Unit 2 running on gas. Unit 3 available. A few grievances in the pipeline, no arbitrations at this time.
Both Brunner and Montour have hired some new folks since my last update. Welcome to those new members!!
Holtwood update-All units available except unit 13. No issues to report!
