Troubleman vacancies have been posted for bid and have closed. We are hearing there are external candidates that are interested in filling vacancies once the vacancy fill process is completed. I know this has been a slow process but hopefully each position will get filled with interested internal candidates and external hires as we move through Article 5, Section 2 N. There have been some rumors the Troubleman MA changed, and the shift fill process is different. Currently, there have not been any agreed upon changes to the Troubleman MA’s. Two Chief Stewards and I have been looking at defining the fill process and discussing 12-hour shifts to cover daylight trouble. If a change should occur, we would expect a vote to speak for the department.
The recent T&D helper class should be finishing up their initial training at Walbert by the end of April. The M&E helper class has started and should arrive in the field by the end of May. Please welcome them when they arrive at their rosters.
We have had two terminations in addition to overtime and discipline grievances. One was for callout response and the other involved an ESE.
For the new hires and those that are not aware, below are the regional Chief Stewards and their rostered locations. This group dedicates a lot of time that goes unnoticed. Thank you for your support and dedication.
