I hope everyone enjoyed the Holiday season and had time to spend with their families. The New Year came and went, and spring is on the radar. Work/Life balance is an ongoing discussion for the T&D and RTC members. The company has hinted at some changes that may be coming, and we are open to hearing their plan and providing valuable feedback from our members. The Troubleman vacancies are still a work in progress as folks are exercising their return rights and temporary fills are cycling through. I want to thank the Chief Stewards again for their dedication and time they spend managing the rotations along with everything else they are involved in.
A T&D helper class of 18 is scheduled to start on March 3rd. M&E also has a class starting on March 31st consisting of 10 LTN and eight substation helpers. If you see any of our new members out in the field or at Walbert, please welcome them.
The teams that went to support restoration after the hurricane devastation were acknowledged on February 21st. Pictures and stories were shared and a large focus on the exceptional safety of our teams that travelled to Georgia, Kentucky/Virginia, and Florida. Nice job to all that provided support to the devastated areas and to those that kept business going at home.
For the new hires and those that are not aware, below are the regional Chief Stewards and their rostered locations. This group dedicates a lot of time that goes unnoticed. Thank you for your support and dedication.
